This is a storyline led by your very GM! Down below is what you as a player, might find important and interesting to know. I wont go too much indepth of what happened but this is to give you a general view. Some things are to be discovered IC as well.
OOC: 1st Encounter
It all started with odd disappearances of Argent Crusaders, people who mostly had been left to their own, guards, patrollers, even a platoon Lieutenant went missing when all he was doing was moving from Light's Hope to Eastwall tower upon horseback. After a long search the team came upon a pile of gorey masses, probably cut up bodies- and more or less the missing Argent Crusaders. The pile had been left out to feed the roaming Plagueshounds. What was also latger discovered was that these already, twisted and malevolent beasts had been experimented on with runes and blood magic. After defeating the pack the group went on towards what was the village Northdale, only to be encountered with a sinister presence. The place is beridden by shadow magic and the team discovers a flesh monstrosity. Imagine a hearless gargoyle with a hollow chest and muuuuch longer claws and teethe. The creature is however in slumber, and the team kills it.
IC: Something awefully weird was killed in Northdale, and all can agree, while nodding vigorously, that it was a VERY good thing it died before it awoke. The bloodcult is very elusive, and dangerous.
OOC: 2nd Encounter
A report came in about a pack of these Bloodhounds seen wandering around the back of Eastwall Tower. The Blackgarde is called in to assist and get help from the Kor'kron Veteran Rahedka but known as Growler. It seems to be an easy task at the beginning, but proven wrong, these three hounds alone nearly kills Kayrellion and deals a heavy blow to the rest of the team. However as they finally down this small pack they come upon a monstrously, large and ferocius bloodhound, described to have two sets of jaws and multiple eyes, as well as spikes and toughened hide. With their combined effort- the team manages to ddownj the beast- with some help of an odd shade. Not thinking more about it, the battered and bruised team goes back to Tyr's Hand with the information and wounds that they've got.
IC: These bloodhounds are bad business and it is know if your character has read up on the files, that these hounds are clearly the cult's creations, sicne they have a history of meddling with beasts and blood, creating monstrosities such as the odd gargoyle in Northdale and the Hound. Spies and scouts are always on the lookout for signs of these beasts, seeing as they pose a immense threat to the people residing in the Plaguelands, where they have been found so far.
OOC: 3rd Encounter
After a scouting, following trails of a longlost small civilisation of a nature revering tribeof humans in Seradane- Huldrael made some horrifying discoveries. Someone had placed draining runes on the old ruin, thus damaging the nature in the surroinding area, and scaring off the wildlife. Huldrael went back to Tyr's Hand and gathered a small group and showed them the place with the means of investigating. The team found runes not that old, yet maintained. On the same uprise there was a cresent moon made out of white marble that laid dormant on the ground that until Kyerea decided to drip blood into the runes- which were feeding on any sort of life energy. This caused the moon to float up in the air and hum with a soft blue light. Eventually the group also stumbles upon a sacrificial statue, with a moon hovering over it, though it's smaller. Below it, sacrifices, including that the carcass of a rabbit and bowls of blood has been placed. In the middle of the temple the group finds a white altar, with blood engraved into the white marble after years of long and heavy use. The Blackgarde is shown three visions.
The first one is a vision of two girls with long and dark ebony hair, they are assumed to be the ages of 12-15, one older and one younger. They have a short conversation about how the harvest is bad and how their mother is a priestess who has been praying all day.
The second vision displays san old man at the altar, he speaks about how the spirits and nature has for so long beed displeased with them and his speech is rather desperate. He speaks about a volunteer, and in comes the girls mother, although rid of clothing and painted with red patterns all over her body. In the end she is made the first sacrifice that this group of people has ever made, in the shape of flesh and blood. When the old man sacrifices the woman- Kyerea sees a flash of smoke and red eyes on him.
The third vision is filled with pleasant music and there's a cheerful environment to it over all. This time is displays a cheering crowd in the temple, and the two girls stand at the front, though this time they are much older, about 20-25. They are declared the new High Priestesses and each of them are given a circlet with a red crystal in the middle. On their chest, and displayed, they both have tattoo's of a moon, Kali with the one curved downwards, with her sister, Dei'ave has a moon with the curve on the opposite side. After this vision, the moon on the statue and the larger piece, has turned black, and the larger one has dropped onto the uprising, resting and dormant. The runes are also made dormant with this.
IC: There was, after that Seradane was abandoned, a nomanic tribe folk of humans that settled in the old ruins and around it, and something drove them away from their druidicly inspired ways. The only connection they have so far with the cut, is that the runes found on the uprising and around the ruin is the same as used in Northdale.
