Okey I make this one as there are a few different ways for you to ICly fight with other players. Lets start by actually just mentioning a few of the different ones then go in to them a bit.
Roll-battle
Emote fighting.
Victory roll.
And lastly just PvP and take it as IC (not recomended)
First then then the game of luck. "The human child in his relax wear and butter knife, beats the Fully armed warlord with his sword and shield."
Thats roll battle in a nutshell. Its about luck usualy set up in the highst rolls wins.
Example: Ilanae rolls a 60 in her attack against Cyr he rolls a 59. Then Ilanae's attack goes through its up to the person taking the attack to use the emote to determen where he gets effected. If both rolls the same the defender wins.
Emote example Ilanae rushes in towards Cyr her blades held low as she runs towrads him. As she gets close she attempts stab him in the right arm. Thats a good way of doing an emote in a fight like that you Attempt to hit.
Now for a bad one Ila draws her flintlock and shoots Cyr in the eye. This is a bad one as it would be counted as a god emote/ power emote. As its not an attempt and even if you roll on the attack it won't look good to anyone watching.
Example of a few rules that one can see in this:
Health - you use a health system as we do in the combat system.
You can also use our combat system with the roll battle then you should go and look at it and adapt it to the fight in question, This makes it -less- random but still random.
Emote Fighting (no rolls used)
This system is a bit more complicated as it rarely uses any health or stats just the characters ability to fight. This is not recomended for those that are new to RPing or fighting within an RP setting. This one requires alot of details in the emotes the recomended one for this is to incude small things like the way the feets of your characters face. You want to out smart your oppneant and force them to take your attacks without power emoting.
The biggest problem there is that people don't want thier characters to get hit and might get angry and have thier character do impossible things. This part can have a few rules aswell. Such as no healing or no magic use. But the most fun one
Is to go without those rules and just let the combat float.
Example emote. Elaara prepare for combat she holds her bow slightly tilted to the left. Her body at an half angle as she keeps her eyes on Teffany's sword, Ela's then pulls her left leg back a bit to make sure that she stands in a good position. That would be the first emote the first defender does to give an image of how she stands. Then an important point here is that your emote can start as soon as your oppnets one does. What do I mean by that well Teffany sprints forwards her blade held back a bit as she runs. When she gets close to Elaara she pulls her blade back a bit and sends a strike towards her lower left leg in the hope of cutting in to them and sending Elaara to the ground with a nasy cut just above her knee cap.
And the responce can be Elaara takes a few steps back as Teffany begins to run towards her to give herself more time to think. Her eyes still focused on the movemet of her enemys weapon but now also on the body of her, when Teffany reaches her she quickly steps to the left as she brings the blades side of her bow down to block the incoming strike. The sound of metal against metal can be heard as she attack fail's with this Elaara moves her right foot forward in a fast move as she attempts to get to Teffany's side. Just to push herself away that air around Elaara's feets sparkles with arcane as she streangthns her push, Mid air she brings in her bow infornt of herself to shoot at Teff. she conjures a frost arrow the air around the arrow smoking a bit becouse of the temprature difference, She fires the arrow aimed the ground infornt infornt of teff's feets. This would be an attempt to incase Teff's feets with ice.
Yes as you can see the emotes can get pretty long and thats quite a short one actually. But this is what makes this kind both hard and interesting to use.
Victory roll.
Very simple. the two fighters rolls before the fight and the winner of the roll wins the fight. Then they fight in the best looking way they can with emotes or PvP as the winner is already set thier focus is to make it look good.
PvP
As it says.. You out right PvP and call it Rp. Though this can have rules set to it as Only one heal.. or a skill timer (ofcourse that one has to be adjusted if you face a caster)
